For 15 years, Johnson has created musical instruments with incredible tone, time-tested design and excellent features to appeal to a broad group of musicians. The acoustic guitar family improves and impresses with the addition of the Carolina Series. These award-winning models were developed by product designer Greg Rich, bringing pristine workmanship with each model. This year, we introduce more Carolina models, as well as the same great sounding, reliable instruments you’ve come to appreciate from us.

The premiere Johnson guitar was the JM-998 Style-O Metal Body Resonator. This pre-war-style metal body is still available and one of our best-sellers. You could say resonators have always been our flagship models.

This year we open our custom shop, with hand-engravings done by Greg Rich. This legendary designer has a history at both Gibson and Dobro, plus a multitude of artists, providing beautiful creative work on our vintage metal bodies.
